[search db=your.db.com&neWHATEVERdata=show_all&AVERAGEtype=num&AVERAGEsort=1&AVERAGEsdir=de&REVIEWStype=num&REVIEWSsort=2] you get the idea... I guess regarding the fair comparison, you'd need to assign some sort of value to the 'weight' of multiple reviews... I am working on something unrelated at the moment, but if a decent solution pops up, I'll share it. -Dan ------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.StrongGraphicDesign.com http://www.SearchBoise.com (208) 319-0137 | Toll-free p/f 877-561-1656 ------------------------------------------------------------ On Fri, 12 Dec 2003 14:06:24 -0800 Marc Kaiwi wrote: >I'm writing a small program that allows visitors to "rate" different shops from 1 to 10 (for >example). > >My question is this: > >If one shop has a rating average of 8 but has only been "reviewed" a few times and another shop >has an average rating of 7 but has been "reviewed" many times.
