texte = My $0.02: Personally, the only reason why I use a custom timetamp value rather than [cart] for my unique IDs is so that I can sort chronologically and do date/time math a little easier (to me), all from one field. [cart] doesn't always number 'chronologically' I've noticed. Also, a reverse equation of the timestamp code will also produce the date/time it was created as well, thus eliminating 2 (or more) additional fields in the db... but that's just me.
