texte = Howdy Ken!.... the Saga continues... :)Here's the thing.. We have some plans inthe directions of a more "turn-key" solution. You should know this as you've signed the*non-disclosure* agreement and have downloadedthe business plan. ;-) (we're not supposed totalk about it)As much as these things may helpthe beginner, or less-technical user, itreally makes for easier development as well. However, with everything there is a balance. The more turn-key, the more boxed the solution..and in saying that, WebDNA is no kids toy. Weare *not* plugging star pegs into star holes andsquare pegs into square holes here. That isthe irony of oop programming and heavy modularizationefforts such as ruby on the rails and our industry.Simply put, Our customers demand solutions thatcan be complicated at times. I had an interestingtalk with Patrick about this the other day actually.Does this mean we stop our efforts in trying tomake things more simple? No. I think ease of use is oneof WebDNA's goals. It's balance lies in practicalityand versitality... yet at the same time, tryingnot to limit solutions to boxed ideas. So, yes, for WebDNA's future, expect perhapsan edition that is simplified and more standardizedto serve certain solutions. However, personally, I am much more excited abouthaving the chance to continue, expand, andrefine the set of tools that makes up WebDNA.Better documentation, better training, better compatibility, and more robustness ingeneral... is really what is exciting to me...because it will lead to results that will beinnovative within the industry.I've worked for a *lot* of customers who runWebDNA driven solutions (many of whom are onthis list).. and when I look back, I thinkthe bottom line is that customers want solutions. They have needs and ideas, and they either wantto be able to make them happen, or they cometo people like me to make them happen. Theyare also conscious about the budget and time-line.WebDNA has always had some advantage in theseareas. Practicality. Versitality. We need tonot only continue that trend, but enhance it...and I will say.. from initial looks.. WebDNAkicks HTML/OS's @ss when all these things areconsidered ;-)Donovan-- Donovan D.
