WC1.6 to WC2 date formatting

texte = This may be slightly off-topic but I'm stumped for an easy solution... I have two date fields in my existing WC1.6 database formatted as yyyymmdd. I'm trying to find the easiest (or laziest) method of converting those fields to mm/dd/yyyy format in order to switch to WC2.
