Lawrence=Lawrence;I'm=20=working on 6, and shall try [convertchars].As to the=20suggestion to change de databases to utf-8: unfortunately it's not an=20option (i'm not allowed to change the system). I could also do the easy=20=way out: do the pages in isolatin. But I want to do this in HTML5 and=20CSS.Thanks for the help.Francisco-------------=--------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed tothe mailing list.To unsubscribe, E-mail to: archives: http://mail.webdna.us/l=ist/talk@webdna.usBug Reporting: support@webdna.us I have the following=20=proble:
I have to read data from WebDNA dbs whose data is in=20isolatin1 ( i'ts mainly Spanish, so it's full of non-ascii =characters.)
I want to show it as UTF-8.
I tried doing a function to replace the=20special characters.
[function name=3Disotoutf]
=09[text]textoconvertir=3D[instring][/text]
=[text]textoconvertir=3D[grep=20search=3D=EF=BF=BD&replace=3D=C3=A1][textoconvertir][/grep][/text]
==09[text]textoconvertir=3D[grep=20search=3D=EF=BF=BD&replace=3D=C3=A9][textoconvertir][/grep][/text]
=etc, etc
=09[return][textoconvertir][/return]
[/function]
The function does=20not do the replacement because I, "obviously", have not written=20correctly the iso characters to convert.
How can I do =this?
