texte = Hello, please pardon this piece of cyber-flotsam, as I am asking questions thatmay have been asked before. If anyone who has WebCatalog developmentexperience has the time to answer the following, it would be greatlyappreciated. At present I am not a WebCatalog user, but am at the brink of purchasingthe application (especially after a very informative conversation with JayGonzalez at StarNine). I just have a few questions about the application'scapabilities and its ease-of-use.There are a few requirements I have set for the sites I am developing, andI wonder if WebCatalog can fulfill them:1) A customers database. Can WC do it, and how easy/hard is it to do? ie.customers purchasing habits/addresses/CC#'s would be stored for theirre-use upon repeat visits.2) Sustainability of Shopping Cart items. Will WC remember a visitor'sorder if they go away and come back later? It doesn't seem to do thisautomatically--how hard is it to set up?3) Can WebCatalog import further records after an inital database has beenset-up. Does it do this itself, or must you open the .db files and importusing either Excel or FileMaker?4) Addition of fields to a database--can you adds fields to a databaseafter the database has been created?5) General comments--how does everyone like working with WebCatalog? hasanyone worked with other, similar products--how do they compare? Doesanyone have any misgivings about WebCatalog, or are there any outstandingshortcomings with the product? Thanks for your time--I look forward to anyone's feedback (you may want toforward information to me directly, rather than fill the list with unwantedtraffic).Regards,Andrew Andrew Robulack admin@yukon.net Internet Yukon Inc.
