texte = In order to install WebCatalog or any software that modifies a system file(in Un*x) you have to be root. WebCatalog does not require root access torun and runs as the nobody user.Smith Micro only supports the installation of WebCatalog under RedHat.Primarily until the Linux Standards Base gets every thing together (and thedistro) it is hard to support all the major versions (SUSE, Turbo, Caldera,Mandrake, Corel, Slackware, Debian etc.) of Linux. Although we do have anon RPM script install that would allow the installation on anydistribution. RedHat version? Has Apache beenmodified? How is your ISP trying to install WebCatalog? Is this a standardRedHat install?
