Please enter a valid serial number. **************So I must be on the right path.My next question is this. Where can I get the Serial Number for WebCatalog? Background: I have been asked by my (new) client to take over WebCatalog which I learned on my own through review of the syntax. The client now needs me to migrate the software off a Linux RedHat box and onto my FreeBSD 4.4 box. I spoke to SmithMicro on the phone and even through their online tech message posting service and on every occasion I have been told I can migrate the site/license without issue or cost. They (SmithMicro) instructed me to copy the Users.db, Triggers.db, and WebCatalog Prefs files and I should be good to go. My client is absolutely clueless as to any aspect of their software. The person that installed it initially is long gone from the picture. Can you help?-----Original Message----- From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com] On Behalf Of Doug Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 3:11 PM To: WebDNA Talk Subject: Re: How To get Some Help Thank you for your reply, John.1. I can gain access to the TeaRoom Demo and get the following screen: ====================== TeaRoomImages/WinterPorch.jpg WIDTH=175 HEIGHT=281> This store is a WebDNA example, created using the new XML like syntax of WebDNA available in WebDNA 4.To learn more about this syntax option see page 35 of the WebDNA Programmer Guide or view this online primer. As for my permissions issue, Apache is a standard install and the httpd.conf was updated but srm.conf was not. Neither conf file contains the AddHandler instruction. Maybe that is the problem? -----Original Message----- From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com] On Behalf Of John Peacock Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 2:30 PM To: WebDNA Talk Subject: Re: How To get Some Help Doug wrote: > It's too bad the installation readme files don't tell you how to > handle this. If I remember from your earlier postings, you are running FreeBSD and installed using the script installation. Can you successfully access any portion of the TeaRoom example site? I have a suspicion that your installation was not sucessful and hence the WebCat handler for tpl files is not active. It is not likely that you have any permissions issue at all.
