texte = WebCat 5.1c is still using 100% of the CPU. I've had a developer at SM look at my box and she couldn't come up with anything so now I'm getting VERY frustrated. Details:1) Server is Running: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.2 PHP/4.3.3 mod_perl/1.26 w/ WebCat unix-Linux Intel RedHat Apache Module version 5.1c2) It's not bad code that's causing this because if I quit WebCat and then reopen it, it immediately reverts to 100% of the CPU.3) It's ACTUAL utilizing all 100% that it's taking. Other services are slowing down because they don't have access to the ticks they need.I'm out of ideas. My next attempt was going to be to to rebuild the box running RH 9 to see if that resolves it but that's a Gigantic undertaking if it won't fix anything and will be disruptions for my clients.Has any one else experienced such a situation? Does any one else have a remedy?Here's the TOP view from this morning: 1:23pm up 58 days, 17:04, 3 users, load average: 6.13, 5.88, 5.8292 processes: 86 sleeping, 6 running, 0 zombie, 0 stoppedCPU states: 48.2% user, 51.8% system, 0.0% nice, 0.0% idleMem: 505284K av, 491440K used, 13844K free, 0K shrd, 101468K buffSwap: 1048280K av, 8808K used, 1039472K free 310844K cached PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 873 apache 14 0 28904 28M 4080 R 25.1 5.7 0:50 WebCatalog 874 apache 14 0 28904 28M 4080 R 25.1 5.7 0:50 WebCatalog 871 apache 14 0 28904 28M 4080 R 24.3 5.7 0:50 WebCatalog 870 apache 15 0 28904 28M 4080 R 24.1 5.7 0:50 WebCatalog 6 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.1 0.0 170:36 kscand 914 apache 9 0 5460 5460 3288 S 0.1 1.0 0:00 httpd 916 apache 9 0 5348 5348 3220 S 0.1 1.0 0:00 httpd 1 root 8 0 120 72 48 S 0.0 0.0 0:04 init 2 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 keventd 3 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 kapmd 4 root 19 19 0 0 0 SWN 0.0 0.0 0:00 ksoftirqd_CPU0 5 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:14 kswapd 7 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 bdflush 8 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 kupdated 9 root -1 -20 0 0 0 SW< 0.0 0.0 0:00 mdrecoveryd 13 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 kjournald 89 root 9 0 0 0 0 SW 0.0 0.0 0:00 khubd-- Jesse Williams-ProudmanBlue Box Development :: Custom Web Solutions +1.206.778.8777 :: jesse@blueboxdev.com-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
