I just want to express that people should *not* do stuff like thisin a shared environment. Some of "my" domains are in a shared environment andoccassionally these sandboxs will "stall". I then start to wonder what mygood neighbors are doing. Also, know that anytime 10,000 emails are going outthat a good percentage of recipients are viewing it as spam. Another smallerpercentage of those folks may be reporting your domain to a spam database. Well,in a shared environment, sometimes we share the same mail server. So, whenthese emails are going out, and people are proceeding to submit themail servers info to spam cop and others, it is not just their emails thatare now getting blocked by the different protections systems out there usingthose spam databases! Please remember propper mass mailing etiquette by creating a *very* easyand working removal process that is plainly marked in each mail that goes out.WebDNA has so much power and everytime these solutions come up it irritatesme that these kinds of warnings don't come with it! Remember that this isa public forum and many folks here will be in a shared environment. If you are, please don't use emailer to mass market as there are many manycheap solutions out there. Also, emailer was not built to do this job well.Try places like:http://www.verticalresponse.com/Its just better all around. Thanks,DonovanStuart Tremain wrote:> Hi> > I was wondering if anybody could tell me how many emails/hour I could > expect to send through WebDNA.> > For example: If I dumped 10,000 emails into the email folder, how long > could I expect to wait until it is cleared.> > I am using w2k with 1GB RAM 1GB PIII server, the SMTP server is on > another windows box on the same internal network.> > Thanks-- =o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o DONOVAN D.
