Apparently unlike others onthis list, I have always acquired the support that I've needed from SMSI.This is a tech list and not a direct communication with SMSI support. Ithink some forget that. Also, to be honest, I don't remember a time when I'vehad a "complaint" from my clients that WebDNA is not main stream. I'm notsure why that is because it seems reasonable that someone would bring that up.Maybe it's because of how I acquire the majority of my clients?.. word ofmouth, building trust, examples etc.. and not so much bidding on jobs. Idunno. I just don't think I've heard that issue come up in any realimportant way. I've comming up on 10 years coding with webdna as well.I'm sure me and Adam have seen this all before. However, WebDNA is stillhere. Its still fun to code with. It still works in the industry just fine.Anyway, I wouldn't count the product, or SMSI out at this time. In fact,I've had recent issues where I've gotten timely response... not instant..but timely. As far as webdna being competitive with PHP, there are lotsof variables and the two formats are very different IMO. I think most agreethat WebDNA is far more fun to code. ;-) Its also a multi-platform solutionthat installs everything you need (except the server) in one swoop. The pricing is a stickler.. yes... and there are many other variables. But,that doesn't mean someone won't find that WebDNA better fits thereneeds. It still fits my needs just fine. I've created many things thatcompete (in fuction) with most any other server side lang. out there usuallyin a fraction of the time and cost...as I'm sure many of you have as well...... on my own.. goin down the only road I've ever known. Like a drifter..K, I'll stop now. :-(Donovan-- =o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o DONOVAN D.
