texte = Well, would a fan cause the nutorious beach ball (processing icon) to come up and cause a complete (usually temporary but increasing in length) desktop lock up.? The one "plus" that has come out of this is that technology has grown since I bought the PowerBook. I think I am going to go for a 60Gig 7200 RPM drive http://xlr8yourmac.com/IDE/hitachi_travelstar60GB_7200/travelstar60GB_7200rpm.html (why apple decided to put all their money into supporting ATA as opposed to SCSI is beyond my feeble intelect!)
