texte = I'm on Linux, but that really isn't the issue. Windows, Linux or whatever, the approach used by WebDNA is to assume that there is a local or other available mail server configured to allow relaying of mail on the standard port. This really handcuffs ISPs. They can't require a user pass (SMTP AUTH), which is so simple, even the free PHP BBS packages us it, they can't even get WebDNA users to switch Emailer to a non-standard port. It just removes most of the basic security measures that busy ISPs like to use. How tough could it be for SmithMicro to recompile Emailer to handle SMTP Auth, and maybe even different port numbers?
