It is a rathersophisticated bit of code that works best using Internet Explorer."CMS" is a general term in our industry, and I think we may need tochange the name of WebDNA's CMS to something that differentiatesit from other CMS features and focuses on the features it contains. As someone who has a say on what to do with this part of WebDNA,I have been holding off my judgment on it until I understand it.I think that is important to do in any judgment in general! ;-)Here is what I think of it so far.The base code is functional, once you have a base understanding ofhow it works. This is not something you can just click to and startworking with. If you go into it with the attitude that you are justgoing to start working with it, you will be frustrated and you willlook like a dad that can't put together your kids toy because youdidn't read the instructions. ;-) You need to read the "help" file in the upper right corner of the CMS... two or three times if you have a tendency of ADD like me.If you have worked with SVN or CVS, you will have a head start onthe "understanding".The biggest areas I see that it can be improved upon are on looks andcross-browser compatibility. Other than that, if one needs a systemthat provides integrity of (web) source code, it's a valid option.. evenperhaps over SVN and alike, because you can instantly view thingssuch as html/webdna/js/css etc. files and images.Perhaps a training video is needed to help with the initial understanding.Donovan-- Donovan D.
