This method is not suitable to update WebDNA and previous installation will be overwritten. It must be a fresh WebDNA install on a default Debian 8

Installation process ("run "command"" means you should type the command without surrounding quotes to command line and press "Enter").Open a terminal window and become root (run "su" command there).

su root

Enter root's password when requested (the password will not be echoed).On success, the command will change a command prompt so that it will end with a "#" sign.This will download the proper public keys for a certificated connection

wget -qO - http://deb.webdna.us/debian8/webdna.key | sudo apt-key add -

This will add the line deb http://deb.webdna.us/jessie jessie non-free to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

echo "deb http://deb.webdna.us/debian8 jessie non-free" >>/etc/apt/sources.list

Please note the double ">>"!If you enter the command correctly, it will quietly modify your /etc/apt/sources.list file.Run "apt-get update":

apt-get update

The command will update your software repository indexes. It will show you its progress on your terminal. On success, it shouldn't tell you about any errors.Run "apt-get install webdna-fcgi-apache2=8.5.1":

apt-get install webdna-fcgi-apache2=8.5.1

apt-get will ask you if you want do install the software without checking its digital signature:

WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!  webdna-fcgi-apache2Install these packages without verification [y/N]?

Accept it (press "y" and "enter").If you have virtual hosts configured on your machine and want to have WebDNA automatically configured for them, run "webdna-configurator-fcgi" and follow its instructions.

If you want to do that manually, please read/usr/share/doc/webdna-fcgi-apache2/README.DebianIf you don't know what "virtual hosts" are or just don't want to configure them, just ignore this.
