texte = I am real spooked. On Linux, webcat 3.06f,I have some admin templates that allow the admin to add/modify/delete products. NoProblem... the templates have been working fine for weeks and I haven't been messing withthe code other than tiny cosmetic things. The problem is that all of a sudden webcatseems to be holding two (or more?) conflicting versions of the product db in cache. Sowhen the admin modifies a product and then goes back to the product catalog listing (asearch that finds all products and lists them each in their own table row) she may seethat the product has been modified or maybe it has not. Or another example - if shedeletes a product then goes back to the catalog listing, it shows the product has not beendeleted, or maybe it has. I have her on the phone and I say, hold on don't doanything. She freezes. I force reload the catalog listing repeatedly and on everyrefresh the template loads one of the apparent 2 versions of the product database... atthe top I have [numfound] and it says 60 I reload and it says 61. I reload and itsays 60.... On and on... I close the database (via [closedatabase]) and then itstops, but as soon as any action is taken which tries to modify the database in any way,the same problem arises again. And for sure no one else is in with any access to any ofthe templates... When I download the db and look in with BBedit I see the correct version(so it seems the [commitdatabase] is working on the right version at the right time), butthe ram version(s) are not consistent/stable...I think webcat is haunted... this is not good... (ultimately the product db will bechanging all the time during remote business transactions as inventory control code doesits job etc... I guess I don't need to point out further why this behaviour is bad...)Any clues?-John-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
