texte = Hey FolksMy best friend has owned a domian for the past 4 - 6 yrs but mucked up and never renewed it properly, easyspace then asked him for £100 to renew the domain through them or wait 30 days till it went back into public domain. The domain is now owned by a company called buydomains.com who want between $600 and $10000 for the domain... Do you know of any way we can screw them and get it back or are we totally stuffed? (I say *we* as I have run the website for the last 8yrs ... despite having no control over the hosting / domain it has been MY baby through many incarnations...)I think this company must be picking up expired accounts in the hope of getting people backed into a corner and *having* to buy it back for whatever figure they decide... I'd almost put money says they are in kahoots... or even the same people trading as a diferent company... Anyway, let me know what you think... I would have to say the web and legal disputes are an area I haven't played in and am not sure I want to either...ThanksAlanP.S. My Friend owns the company name that the domain is for if that makes any difference?P.P.S. We are in the UK and this is a US Comany that are doing the thievery so I don't know if we can fight them effectively...-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
