texte = I would agree with Robs points for the main reason of domains, like land, are limited. What if Mr. Gates decided to buy up most all the properties in the US and sell them back to people at 750X the price. Yes, there is a place for big brother. btw, Ken, I agree with some of your points about protecting your domain but I don't think your rude personal characterizations are prompted. I was tempted to reply to you in the same manner (as your post) but I will refrain. There are other factors as well. Many domain registrars have sketchy or confusing renewal systems.
