Subject: Re: [WebDNA] WebDNA appI =vote single binary as well. Looks like there is some =interest.
Licensing would have to still phone home I guess =to verify serial number as I think Web Catalog did.
It=92s not that these machines don=92t have internet access, it=92s =that some clients don=92t want their data in the cloud, and telling them =I have to install a web server on a stand along PC, or their network =server, and then I have to deal with their network manager, it just gets =into too many issues for them, they don=92t understand, and they and =don=92t want to buy what they don=92t understand. If I say, well I =just have to install one app, it=92s easy to sell. Hey, it=92s just like =installing Office. That they understand.
Ideally I would be able to install on the office file server as =well. Maybe you could sell licenses by number of =users?
These are small clients for me, probably the WebDNA =developers with large clients would not use this, so I think it opens up =a market for smaller businesses. If a particular application needs =PHP I guess that is a reason to say you need to have a Cloud based =solution. But there are so many things that can be done just with WebDNA =alone it would certainly open up my markets.
Thanks for considering.
