And though your affiliate commission is as low as they come, I was quick to sign up because I see the greater good of name and product recognition. But by dropping all support off of this list, and chiming in from time to time with pat answers that basically ignore the major issues, it's likely that the word that will get out is going to be a negative one. Morale is low on this list. So, while you make headway with your own marketing efforts, you lose it with the developers who've been with you from the beginning. Those developers talk to a lot of companies, and many companies rely on them for direction. I don't expect Grant to take time to answer questions as he did in the past. But I have to wonder if you and John are the only SM eyes that look at this list anymore. Instead of the silence, how about a bit of good old open conversation, like in the old days. If we knew that John Jakovich was training some new tech support people, or you and Grant have been working on organizing the development team for version 4, the silence would be understandable. As it is, though, no one knows what you guys are up to. And, it's going to be counter productive to your greater marketing efforts if it continues this way.My 2¢ -- Mike Davis, President Network 13, Inc. http://www.network13.net/ LocalsOnline.com, Inc. http://www.localsonline.com/ Voice Of The Internet, Inc. http://www.voiceoftheinternet.com/ ICQ: 6572635If I had more time, I would have written less. - Mark Twain> From: Jay Van Vark > Reply-To: (WebCatalog Talk) > Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2000 10:35:46 -0800 > To: (WebCatalog Talk) > Subject: Re: Smith Micro - no competition > > None taken... > > I am glad that you view it as such a strong competitive advantage > that you don't want your clients to know your tools... > > What I want to make sure is that those clients that dictate which > tool to use know that WebCatalog is the best tool around and that > lots of people are using it...
