There's a kind of catch-22 situation at work that requires an external influence (such as financial backing from SMSI) to turn the tables enough to get a good third-party reference/tutorial in motion. Not enough documentation to support the market, and not enough market to support the development of documentation. Numerous attempts at organizing web sites, alternative forums, etc. have failed to gather enough momentum to become self-sustaining. If SMSI is serious about promoting WebDNA as an alternative to ASP, ColdFusion, WebObjects, PHP and the like, getting third-party documentation on the shelves at Borders and Amazon would certainly be a key to market growth. It is, however, an expensive and risky venture. Were the money available to support the effort and offset the loss of billable hours to my clients, I'd certainly be interested in participating in such a project. - brian On Mar 3, 2004, at 8:13 AM, Marc Kaiwi wrote: > I know that you guys have talked about this a lot in the past but it's > a worthwhile project. > > A few of you DNA list folks really should get together and write a > WebDNA reference/tutorial.
