Thanks = Stuart, but that is for WebDNA 8.5.1 and that did not support MySQL when = I tried it last night.

but have run into problems, rather than spending hours trying to =
debug, it would be good to know if there is a = =E2=80=9Cmanual=E2=80=9D method of
installing/upgrading or do I just = build a new server.

The installation process relies on the = position of directories,
apache user, dependencies version, and each = LINUX OS has his own
formula for this. Moreover, each LINUX OS might = change the formula
from one version to the other. Apache Software = Foundation will also
change the rules from time to time. We have to = adapt and we provide
installers for the major LINUX distributions. = However, from a
distribution to another, the changes oblige us to = make slight
installer modifications. Making installers intelligent = enough to
detect that there have been an upgrade, from LINUX version = X to LINUX
version Y is doable, but not financially viable. You can = do the
installation yourself, as basically, installing WebDNA server = is a
matter of permissions (always), SELinux (annoying), a connector = and a
module (built for a specific LINUX version) and http config, = with a
single formula that would work for every installation if = apache
config remained consistent, which is not always the case. = Upon
request, we can provide the connector and module. Or we are = always
willing to help and many of you know that we always bring = quick
support when requested.

Finally, the version 6, from = 2004 and 6.2 in 2008, is still available
upon request to support@webdna.us <mailto:support@webdna.us> If we =
keep a software online, then we have to provide support, and WebDNA = 6
is NOT supported anymore.
