No luck on connecting to MySQL 5.7

 

I think MySQL made some changes to the security in 5.7. I =guess WebDNA does not support that. I was really hoping to use 5.7 since =they have a great replication system built right into the platform.

 

I am able to connect to 5.7 using TOAD from the same Windows7 =machine.

Hi Brian

 

Can you connect to the external MySQL from the =command line ?

 

If not, then I suggest a =permissions/firewall problem at the MySQL server.

 

Remember to restart MySQL after changing any =settings.

Could very well be a firewall problem, something in =the back of my head is reminded about port 3306 on standard Ubuntu =installs being blocked.

 

Remember to reboot after you make any config =changes.
