Or hire Ken's PSP to do it for you!Are you going blind? Do you feel as if life is passing you by while you sit in front of your computer all day long? If so, then get out! Get away! Escape today!Ken's PSP (Ken's Philippine Sweatshop Programmers) will work around the clock for you, 24 hours a day, to program anything you need, in any 'standard' language such as ASP, ColdFusion, PHP, PERL, SQL, and more. Our intro rate for the people on this talk list is only $9 an hour! Not only do we do ALL your programming work for you, but we do it at rates you will never see in any developed country. We charge you so little that you can mark up our prices 500% or more and never do any programming again for the rest of your life -- yet you will earn more money than ever before! Here are some other advantages to Ken's PSP:1- Save yourself hundreds or thousands of dollars on upgrades. Never again be the victim of a software company that thinks more of its new customers than the folks who have stuck by them and supported them for years, helping them to survive during some really rough times.2- Make some extra bucks by selling your existing webdna license to a new user. He or she will get an even better deal on the purchase of webdna if he/she buys and upgrades YOUR license instead of buying a new license direct from SMSI.3- Avoid the new bugs guaranteed to be introduced in this new version. Remember, history repeats itself at SMSI, which means it will take them an additional 6-12 months or longer before they finally fix the bugs soon to be introduced in this new version. Do you really need to go through that hassle AGAIN?4- Sell your server and host your site on any hosting service in the world! Hosts that offer 'standard' CGI software packages give you better hosting rates, and there are literally thousands of them to choose from, unlike webdna which has no more than a dozen or so in the entire world. But don't worry, if you really want to stay with webdna, Ken's PSP will write your webdna code for you at a rate of only $20 an hour. I've been personally training several exceptional programmers to learn the webdna tricks and techniques I've developed over the years, and now they are ready to show you what they can do on YOUR web development projects.:)My point in the above diatribe is simple...There are LOTS OF ALTERNATIVES out there, and we should not consider ourselves to be 'married' to this software if we are to survive in this industry!Everyone has alternatives, especially us. We already know this software, we just don't know much about the software everyone else is using -- or we don't want to bother with it because it takes too long to use compared to webdna. But time is relative ...If we could hire someone else to program the software everyone else is using, then maybe the hassles of using it wouldn't bother us so much, and perhaps we would think about this situation from a different perspective. Looking at things from a different angle is very enlightening sometimes ...My original effort here in the Philippines was to teach webdna to the local programmers so I could offer wholesale webdna coding services to people in developed countries -- and especially to the folks on this talk list. But I soon learned that local programmers are very well versed in all the standard web scripting and database languages and not at all familiar with webdna. So now I intend to take advantage of their experience and knowledge in the 'standard' software that everyone else is using.I will continue to use them for webdna coding as well, of course, at least until I decide that a complete switch to other solutions is best for me. I love this software, but I seriously disagree with the way SMSI has decided to sell it in this new version ...When I register a second level domain, I expect to be able to create as many third-level domains as I feel like creating, without having to pay SMSI $50 for each one I create. And I do not like the idea of having to pay them an extra $50 for every new second level domain I register, either.I used t have unlimited software, but now what?SMSI seems intent upon removing a valuable feature of their software every time they introduce another 'upgrade'. They tried that last time, but it seems that even with that experience behind them, they continue to ignore our needs. I disagree with this policy. We all purchased unlimited versions of this software. Until I see some evidence that SMSI is listening to our needs, I have no desire to upgrade. I have other options available to me, and so does every person on this list. Those other options may not be exactly what we want at the moment, but they may be better for us in the future.Personally, I have a team of programmers who work very cheaply for me, and they do good work. They will work cheaply for you too, if you want to use them. For the same price of an unlimited upgrade, I can hire five of my programmers for more than a month. Do you know how many websites they can build during this time? And when they are finished, those sites will run on any hosting service in the world -- saving my customers more money on an ongoing basis, and making my value even better for those customers.I think I will just sit and wait until it becomes very clear what real value this new version actually offers. Other than the 'sandbox' which is not even implemented in a way that makes it useful to me, I have yet to see any feature I really need. And I have no time (like in the early days) to debug software for SMSI without being compensated for my time; I will let others do this for me, and I will come in later, when everything actually works. In all honesty, I never wanted to 'diversify' my wholesale programming services. Instead I wanted to focus exclusively on webdna. But now I feel that SMSI is no longer willing to support its longest term users, even by offering reasonably priced unlimited upgrades. I cannot risk the future of my business by building it around the software from a company whose policies make me feel that I am no longer valuable to them.:(Sincerely, Kenneth Grome--------------------------------------------------- WebDNA Professional Training and Development Center Cebu City, Philippines +63 (32) 255-6921 Wholesale WebDNA programming for only $20 per hour! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
