texte = Munged order file? Is this official terminology? :PI've heard this theory before from someone who suggested I had a mungede-mail file. Therefore, I have a cron script that simply blows away theentire EmailCompleted and EmailProblem folders every night. Not sure I cando that with Orders, though. As it turns out, there WAS a trigger for aProcessOrders.tpl aroudn the time of the crash. One thing to note, though,is that I can't reproduce the problem myself... the same trigger iscurrently happily firing away without incident. Two questions remain:1. Why is webdna blowing up because of a bad file? What is the FIX?2. Why can't webDNA restart? It tries really hard, I'll give it that much, but it just can't get there. If I can start the server manaully withWebCatalogCtl start, why does WebDNAMonitor fail?THanks- Ben-----Original Message-----From: WebCatalog Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com]On BehalfOf Larry GoodhewSent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 4:42 PMTo: WebCatalog TalkSubject: Re: Sorry WebDNA server not runningI had this error a couple of days ago on my server. It didn't actually takeWebCatalog down as near as I could tell. It could still serve up otherpages. The culprit turned out to be a munged order file. I was sweeping throughthemlooking at the date and the page would crash returning either this error orramdom bits of the file sytem. It was very strange. So bad/malformed data can return this error also. One more thing to look at!Larry Goodhew>> OK, so that leaves bug or bad code, with bad code more likely.
